Home++ Live Wallpaper Support for Motorola Droid

After updating (OTA) to Android OS v2.1, I was somewhat dismayed to learn that my version of Home++ did not support Live Wallpapers...  

However, after some research I've been able to get Home++ working with Live Wallpapers!!! 

 

To enable Live Wallpapers while running Home++:

  • Uninstall any current version of Home++ you have installed.
  • Visit IntuitIT to download Home++ beta 0.8.0.7.15. (yes, an older version)
  • Save the version to your SD card or move manually via FTP or USB.
  • Go to Settings -> Applications and select Unknown Sources.  (This will allow you to install apps outside of the Market).
  • Navigate to the location of the Home++ beta 08.0.7.15 apk file on your SD Card.
  • Tap the Install button to install Home++ beta 0.8.0.7.15.
  • Once installed you'll need to decide which options to disable in Home++:
    • Workspace Looping - Allows continuous scroll in one direction.
    • Wallpaper Scroll - moves wallpaper as you scroll between screens.
  • Both options cannot be enabled.  Disable one (or both) options and Live Wallpaper should now be working with Home++.
