My-Cast Lite - An Android Weather App That Sucks... Battery

My-Cast Lite Weather App for Android is a great looking app with some unique features, but in the end, this app sucked up 15%-20% of my battery per day.

After the latest Weather Channel Android application update (which asolutely killed the usability of the app I've been looking for a replacement...  Downloaded My-Cast Lite Weather and was impressed with the weather-sensitive themes (colors and backgrounds change with the weather).  The in-app widget idea (using familiar widget interface to customize the weather information available on the screen)  was awesome.  However, the app consistently drained by battery power.

The "battery use" graphs never showed anything about My-Cast Lite Weather, but I noticed a 3-4 hour loss of battery life (I use about 70% battery per day and charge nightly).  My Motorola Droid 2 battery was at critial or completely drained every day.  There is a temperature entry that gets added to the notification bar.  But keeping this piece up-to-date must take some serious horsepower.  I reluctantly uninstalled the application and immediately noticed somone had turned down the juice.
