Motorola Droid (Android): Lock Screen Changes - Home Screen Changes

Does your lock screen (sometimes incorrectly referred to as the home screen) look different?  If so, chances are that you've received an over the air update of your Android operating system.

Some changes you may notice on your lock screen that would confirm an update of your operating system to Android v2.0.1 include:

  • The Lock and Silent buttons are no longer swiped in a "frown" and are now swiped just side to side.
  • The Verizon Wireless text has moved to the upper right corner.
  • The clock and date are no longer displayed in the center having moved to the left side of the screen.
  • The font of all text on the Lock Screen has changed and now has a more futuristic look.
