Motorola Droid 2 Compatible With Motorola Droid Accessories?

The big question on everyone's mind... will the Motorola Droid 2 fit in the accessories for the original Motorola Droid 2?  I searched all over the internet and wasn't able to locate a definitive write-up on whether the new Droid 2 is compatible with the original Droid accessories.

First the good news:

The Motorola Droid 2 WILL fit into the desk mount charger for the original Motorola Droid. I'd actually say that it seems to fit better than the original Droid. I always seemed to have trouble just sliding the original Droid onto the USB plug.  The new Motorola Droid 2 slid right into place!  This is in mind, the Droid 2 should be compatible with all existing original Droid car chargers and wall chargers...

The Motorola Droid 2 WILL NOT fit into the car mount for the original Motorola Droid.  The additional "lip" at the bottom of the phone prevents it from fitting into the original Droid car mount.  It doesn't look like any "manual modification" will correct this, and if you want to have a car mount for the Droid 2, I recommend purchasing a new one...
