Best Android Games

The following contains a listing of best android games I've used on the Motorola Droid and Motorola Droid 2, a brief description of the game, and my *rating.  Scan the barcodes on the right using the Barcode Scanner application on your Android phone to be taken directly to the Android Market page for the widgets.  We've also just updated the listing to provide direct links to the new Android Market website!  This listing is up-to-date as of post date noted above.  This listing will change as more games become available.  It is possible that some of these games have paid version.  Version reviewed as noted:

• Angry Birds [Free] -
  
  Angry Birds

  If you haven't yet played this game, immediately stop what you're doing and download this game. Great graphics, and simple touch-based user interface make this game easy to play and get addicted to.  Like a cross between Boom Blox and Worms.   If you make it all the way through this game (150+ levels) there's a holiday version:  Angry Birds Seasons, also available in the market.  (10/10)
  

• Live Holdem Poker Pro [Free] -

  Awesome graphics and multiple styles of gameplay including sit & go tournaments make this poker game enjoyable to play. If you've been looking for a good Android poker game, give Live Holdem Pro a shot, it's hands down the best Android poker game available. (10/10)
  

• Homerun Battle 3D [Free] -
  
  Homerun Battle 3D

  Graphics and gameplay make this game shine on the Droid.  While the game is very simply a version of homerun derby, the interface is engaging, and the game is difficult to master.  Highly recommend at least the free version of this game.  The best action Android game I have played yet!  (10/10)
  

• Cribbage Pro [Free] -
  
  Cribbage Pro

  A great game that translates pretty well to a touchscreen.  Good graphics and smooth gameplay allow a seasoned player to fly through the game with ease.  Computer opponent has 3 levels of difficulty and plays a good game even at the intermediate setting.  The game offers multiplayer online support, but I've yet to use it...  (10/10)

• Paper Toss [Free]-
  
  Paper Toss

  A simple, but amazingly addictive game where you simply flick your finger to toss a paper wad into a trash can.  A fan is introduced to make things a little challenging.  Highly recommend this Android game.  (9/10)

• Jewellust Lite [Free] -
  
  Jewellust Lite

  A knock-off of Jewel Quest, this game offers good graphics and fun gameplay.  Match your way to victory!  (9/10)

• Air Control Lite [Free] -
  
  Air Control Lite

  A suprisingly addicting game with high replay value.  Utilizing the Android touch interface, you use your fingers to trace out routes for land airplanes on a runway.  Could benefit from better graphics, but overall a great game!  (9/10)
  

• Traffic Jam Free [Free] -
  
  Traffic Jam Free

  Great graphics increase the enjoyment of this puzzle game.  Move cars around a parking lot allowing your taxi to exit unobstructed.  (9/10)
  

• Robo Defense Free [Free] -
  
  Robo Defense Free

  Not as fun as the flash version on the PC, but still a fun strategy game.  Once you figure out the strategy there is little replay value however...  Good graphics and decent user interface put this game in front of the competition.  (9/10)
  

• Kumpa [Free] -
  
  Kumpa

  Similar to the Labyrinth game where you roll marbles from start to finish, this game uses the additional sensors of the Droid allowing you to tilt the gameboard and move marbles along a path.  This game is insanely difficult to master.  But good graphics will keep you trying!  (9/10)

• Radiant Lite [Free] -
  
  Radiant Lite

  Like Space Invaders from the 80's, this game offers nostalgic gameplay.  Still fun, with good graphics make this game enjoyable.  DIFFICULT to master.  (8/10)

*rating - based on my expectation for the app to work as intended on my Android v2.1 Motorola Droid and be moderately or full-featured.
