finally works!

this was so helpful. i got my android phone yesterday (the Express from Sprint) still too new for the sprint store to know how to transfer content.. 509 contacts are a little bit much to enter in one by one.. haha but yes ive been trying all night to figure out how to set it to vibrate for texts, this was the only website that actually helped. thank you so much!
one question tho, is there a way to personalize ringtones for texts when its not on vibrate? for example, if i wanted a bob marley song to play for a friend of mine when they text, is there a way to set that?

Poor interface design strikes again

It's not us, it's the crappy Android UI that scatters preferences all over the device. Love or hate Steve Jobs, this is the kind of thing he worked hard to eliminate in his products. But Google uses Android as a tool to deliver eyeballs to advertisers, so "good enough" is good enough.

Droid 2 doesn't vibrate..

Since I got my replacement Droid 2 from Verizon (about 2 months ago) I couldn't get my phone to vibrate when I received a text. After following the steps above, it is now working.. I can't believe I went for 2 months before I found this site.

Droid vibrating too softly for event notifications!!!!

I love my Droid but it is driving me crazy that I can't seem to get my phone to vibrate more than the standard (2 quick buzzes) when an event reminder is set. That means I miss all of my meetings for work etc. I have tried everything (Missed Call, Event Notification, Handcent, Google Notification, etc.) but nothing gives strong or long vibrations for events!! Can someone please help?!!! Thanks in advance.

Customize Vibrate Settings with Application

Have you tried the Missed Calls application?  This should allow you to customize alerts/notifications for nearly everything related to Ringer, Vibrate, and LED notifications...

Thank-you! Texts now vibrate too.

Thank-you for the picture instructions, worked perfect. A+ to you!
