The Android Market is now available online!
Android Market now available online!After many months of anticipation, Google has finally provided a web interface to the Android Market. This should revolutionize the way Android users interface with their phones and the applications that run on them now that the Android Market can be accessed from any web browser and a PC.
You can access the Market website using the following web address (URL):
From the Android Market you can use your PC or laptop browser to:
- search for applications.
- install applications directly to your phone.
- see more screenshots than you can from your phone.
- read application reviews.
- check application persmissions.
- review recent release notes.
- review applications currently installed on your phone (under My Market Account).
- and much more...
The only function that seems to be a glaring ommission is the ability to delete applications on your phone using the website interface. We couldn't figure out a way to do this...

This is pretty much the only question I get so I’m just going to answer it quickly. A lot of people have been getting burned on non-official websites that try to install so called "codecs" to watch the video. Any site that asks you to download any kind of computer program before you can play the video is actually trying to get you to install a virus. Sounds fun. Now, if you're too poor to afford to watch it online, god help you. Just pray you won't get a virus.
